Lake Tahoe Rig Fit

Tell us your rig and we'll check it against every Lake Tahoe-area campground in our data: per-site lengths, pull-through and hookups from each booking listing, plus official length limits from California State Parks, Nevada State Parks and the Forest Service. If a listing doesn't say, we say “may fit” and why — never a guess.

Rig type

Total length incl. towed car (toad): 35 ft.

70 fit · 17 may fit · 24 won't fit — 35 ft motorhome (class a/c).

Official road & length notes

  • Emerald Bay (SR-89): Maximum vehicle length in the Emerald Bay area is 18 ft — no motorhomes over 18 ft and no trailers; overnight parking isn't allowed. SR-89 at Emerald Bay closes at times in winter: check Caltrans before you go (no fixed dates). [California State Parks]
  • Tahoe State Recreation Area: A small, historic campground with small turns and small parking pads: trailers to 15 ft and RVs/campers to 18 ft. [California State Parks]

How it works

  • Fits — at least one listed RV site is as long as your rig and matches pull-through and hookups, and no official limit rules it out.
  • May fit — the listing doesn't state a length, entry type or hookup for some sites, or an official caution applies (for example Emerald Bay and D.L. Bliss allow motorhomes to 18 ft and trailers to 15 ft).
  • Won't fit — an official maximum is shorter than your rig, the land manager allows no RVs/trailers or hookups you need, or every listed site is too short.
  • Site lengths are compared with your RV or trailer length. Road cautions that refer to total length use rig + tow vehicle/toad. Always confirm with the campground before you book.
