We had a great experience at Lower Little Truckee! We stayed in our campervan with our dog, and it was the perfect spot for a peaceful getaway. The campground is quiet and scenic, with the river nearby adding a relaxing atmosphere. The campsites are well-spaced for privacy, and the bathroom facilities were clean and well-maintained. It was a great place to unwind, enjoy nature, and explore the area. We’d definitely come back!

Loved this campground…hardly anyone around, very large and shady sites right next to the river. Perfect!

We had a great time at this campground. Bathroom was good and there was another bathroom further up the hill. Camp host was great too. He came by and we had a nice chat and he updated us about the Bear fire. He also let us know he would notify us if there were evacuations since we had no cell service. He let us know he had radio service to stay up to date.

The facility has 15 single-family campsites each designed to take either a tent or an RV so the site mix is straightforward: all 15 accommodate both RVs and tents. Campsites come with a picnic table and a metal campfire ring, and a few sites give you a direct view down to the river. Practical amenities on site are basic but useful: vault toilets and potable drinking water are provided, a…
