Campsite lines were a little hard to see in the dark.

Camping was an incredible experience! This particular campsite was fantastic, located just across the street from the lake that provided breathtaking views and a peaceful atmosphere. There were numerous hiking trails nearby, perfect for exploring the beautiful surroundings and immersing ourselves in nature. The site itself was well-maintained, and I appreciated how clean it was. The restrooms were conveniently located and, while they weren't exactly luxurious, they were manageable and typically tidy. After all, we are camping, so one should have realistic expectations about amenities! I also want to remind fellow campers and tourists to please keep your area tidy and respect the natural environment. It’s essential to leave nothing behind and appreciate the beauty around us. Additionally, I urge everyone to refrain from smoking. Being considerate of your neighbors is crucial, as we all share this lovely planet together. Let’s do our part to ensure a pleasant experience for everyone! DON'T SMOKE!! !!!

We were sandwiched between two groups of way more than 6 people at each site and one group had a dog off leash the whole time. I wish the host would have intervened.

About

Kaspian Campground sits across California Highway 89 from the lake in a stand of tall ponderosa pine and white fir, a former picnic area where campsites are spaced to give a sense of privacy among evergreen shrubs. The unit contains nine single-family, tent-only sites; each site includes a picnic table and a metal campfire ring with grill, and a few spots frame filtered views of Lake Tahoe through the trees. The loop provides accessible flush toilets, drinking water, and trash collection, so you can expect developed facilities though the campground is small and focused on basic tent camping ra…
