Ronald W ★ 4 · Sep 2025Plenty of room for our group. Site was clean when we arrived. We're planning to rent again.
Nancy T ★ 5 · Jul 2025We LOVE camping at Stampede Reservoir! The group sites are large enough to accommodate our family, with plenty of room to spread out. Lots of picnic tables, a built in fire pit and bathrooms close by. It's perfect for us!
Daniel S ★ 5 · Jun 2025Great location! Good Setup for a group campsite. Just clear the needle brush with a stick before throwing your tent down. Nice fire pit, plenty of picnic tables and cooking tables. A little walk down a hill to the shore of the lake. Truckee town not too far away... Ameneties are limited... Pit toilets and water spigots Some neighbours have loud generators and music going late but thats not the camps fault.

The reservoir is the campground's main draw: anglers come for rainbow and brown trout and kokanee salmon, and the water is used for boating, water skiing and swimming; a public boat ramp sits about a half-mile away. On land, a web of hiking, mountain-biking and off-highway vehicle trails threads through the surrounding forest, and the nearby Overland Emigrant Commemorative Trail is open to hikers and bikers. T…
