Right off the road, can be a little noisy. The creek is pleasant background noise. Campsites are pretty close to each other, and the road is a little rough but not horrible. Bathrooms were vault toilets, total of 4 stalls at the campground. Bring toilet paper just in case it runs out, it was not serviced every day. Only trash can is the large dumpster. The trees were very nice and the ground was flat and comfy.

The forest circus employee who is supposed to ensure a safe amping experience drive too fast and nearly hit one of my kids. He apologized then proceeded to threaten to ticcket us for having part of our campsite outside the spaces "boundaries" even though we had both sites rented next to each other. That plus the loud traffic noise and disgusting bathrooms. DO NOT STAY

Beautiful campground with rushing stream . We loved it. Only a few miles from Sierra Valley and Sierraville.

The site is small 13 total campsites laid out where roughly half the loops sit under Jeffrey pine and white fir and the other half edge down toward the creek among cottonwood, willow and aspen. Ten of the sites can accommodate both small RVs and tents, while three are tent-only, including a couple of true hike-in sites that share a small parking area toward the back of the facility. Each single-family site includes a picnic table and a campfire rin…
